New pens always calls for doodling time (alongside one of my old faithful watercolour palettes).
The new additions to the family have been:
Chameleon – Colour Tones Pens (an amazing Christmas gift!)
Pigma Micron – size 0.25 (Purple)
I’m loving the fact that the Chameleon pens actually have a blending toner which lets you momentarily change the intensity of the tone on the actual pen itself.
What do you guys like layering up artworks with?

This is so cool! I don’t know why, but I just like how the translucent colors work with the hatching! It’s almost like makeup covering a face, or glass covering the face. I’m not familiar with Chameleon Pens. Do they flow well? Would you recommend them for students?
Hey Amber 🙂 I’ve only been playing with these for a few days but I think they could be great for students (depending of course what you’re using them for). I found it worked beautifully over watercolor like in my image. But here is a link to some videos showing you more how they work so you can see if they suit your needs more.

Thanks for the links! I’ve never even seen a color pen tutorial before! This makes them look intimidating and intriguing all at the same time XD
Just takes practice! There’s lots of amazing mini showcases on Instagram to. I love @lissletters for gorgeous ideas and seeing different materials in use 🙂
Honestly you are too helpful! Thank you so much!
Love the freshness!!!
