This year seems to be solidly branching (excuse the dad joke in sentence one) into leaves…. and portraits. Possibly due to my current lack of a sufficient desk space – that I can cover in collage scraps and layers upon layers of glue might have something to do with this tedious new hobby. Or even a small lapse into insanity? 

No matter the reason I’ve been thoroughly immersed in trying to master this new foray of drawing time-consuming minuscule plant life, and find ways to bring it into my tried, tested and loved portraits. 
This lady is pretty large at A3 – and has been a done in dribs and drabs between projects. But I think the finished look of pens ranging from 0.05 – 0.1 will be impactful once finished.
